Ubaldo Jimenez mowed down 12 Los Angeles(NL) batters and right fielder Brad
Hawpe went deep and had 2 RBI at Coors Field where the Colorado Rockies beat
the Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers 9 to 3.

Jimenez(3-0) was in control of the game from the outset. He gave up just 5
hits and 3 walks in 9 innings and served up 2 'big flies'. Colorado had a
total of 15 hits for the game.

George Sherrill(0-1) ended up with the loss in relief. Jimenez was pleased
with his performance. He noted, 'I had good zip on my pitches. Just as
important, my location was right on. The fans really got into the game too -
that always helps me. Now, if I can only do that again in my next outing.'
