October 11th, 2009 ALDS Series 1, Game 3

The Detroit Tigers bats awoke at home and poured it on in a 9 run outburst that left the 2009 Tigers' hopes still alive. The Yankee pitching staff responded with a beaning of Detroit first baseman Miguel Cabrera that left him unsconscious. Later reports indicate that Cabrera will likely miss the rest of the series. In retaliation, Brendan Lyon hit Johnny Damon, requiring his removal from the game.
