October 15th, 2009 - NLCS Game 1

In a well pitched, well defended ball game, the LA Dodgers emerged to take the series opener, 2-1 on a 9th inning walk off home run by Andre Ethier. Each side scored early, but then the pitching took over. Each team had the potential go ahead run thrown out at the plate on an attempt to tag up. The series promises to be an exciting one with the potential to go the full seven.

a 2 to 1 win over the Colorado Rockies and sending their hometown fans home
smiling.
 
The deciding run was scored by Los Angeles(NL) in the 9th.  Andre Ethier
ripped a solo home run making Los Angeles(NL) the winners and sending the
