| The LA Angles completed their four game sweep of the Colorado Rockies to win the 2009 World Series tonight. Unlike their previous wins, this was based on a strong pitching performance from Jered Weaver, who won his 5th post-season game. Mike Napoli's 3 hits helped LA get the 3 runs it needed in their 3-1 victory. |

Weaver* delivered a fine performance for Los Angeles(AL). He went 5 and 2/3
innings surrendering 3 hits and 1 walk. Los Angeles(AL) managed 7 hits in
their victory.
Weaver* got relief help from Brian Fuentes who gained credit for his 3rd save.

| Torii Hunter broke a scoreless pitchers' duel in the bottom of the 7th and then a Sean Rodriguez grand slam put the game out of reach for Colorado as LA moves to one game from a World Series sweep. John Lackey dominated the Rockies as he threw a complete game shutout. The mood in Colorado's dugout was somber as a team that ran threw the NL playoffs finds itself being absolutely dominated by AL champion LA. |
